War Child was founded in 1993 to respond to the urgent needs of children in the former Yugoslavia during the Bosnian War. Since then it has expanded to 5 countries, and in January of 2024 War Child offices in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom united with CIC as the War Child Alliance. As a fundraising member, our proceeds go directly to War Child programs in 14 countries around the world.
